A Reader to Our Reporter

Dear Desert Independent,

I have been reading the Independent online for quite awhile, and I am pleased to see Mr. Jensen is still onboard. Our community needs reporters like Bob Jensen, reporters who will honestly present Palo Verde Unified School District news, news that is not expressed in the Times. So, keep up the good work Bob. How about taking on the hospital board meetings too? Citizens also need accurate information about our local hospital.

On "The Road Trip" article, oh to have been along on that trip with the un-named cancer survivor! I can only imagine the laughter shared between the two of you. As a recovering cancer patient, who currently must make regular trips to the "chemo corral" in Rancho Mirage, I can tell you cancer adjunct therapy is not a pleasant trip. The melanoma survivor in your story was very lucky to have discovered the tumor early and even more fortunate to have that wonderful wife to help him through it all.
