A NOTE FROM THE PUBLISHER -- Readers, I received the following letter from our
cartoonist, Marian Kamensky today. It seems the the government of Slovakia, where
he has lived until just recently, has punished him for his political commentary
through his cartoons by emptying his bank account. Marian has fled to Austria.
Dear Bob,
Please excuse me, when you in the last weeks did not receive my cartoons!
But I have just a very great problems with our half bolschewiki - half
nationalism Slovakian department. I made in the last year 2009 many political
caricatures for the investigative Slovakian TREND magazine about our premier
minister Robert Fico.

In the attachment is my last TREND caricature of Slovakian premier minister
Robert Fico of November 2006.In this November I got cancellation by this
magazine. I attached my caricature of 2009 of Slovakian chairman of the
constitutional judgment Stefan Harabin.
On January 13, 2010 the State of Slovakia took all my money. I am out of
Slovakia. I am just living in Vienna in Austria. My asylum flat is cold, without
heating and we have just a deep winter. I am absolutely down. Please read in the
attachment the perfectly translation of this article, what published the
greatest Slovakian newspapers PRAVDA about my fall:

The greatest Slovakian private TV MARKIZA made yesterday a reportage about the
very dirty act of Slovakian state. In the next two weeks will the second
greatest TV in Europe, the Germany’s ZDF (first TV is London’s BBC) make a
reportage too.
