Tree Lighting Ceremony at Hospital By Robert Jensen December 18, 2011
At the count of “three” from the crowd, who awaited the moment of electrification, the elves on the roof turned the switch that allowed a large quantity of bulbs to glow. The lighting elicited “oohs” and “aahs” from the parents and kids who had waited. Tickets were sold for a 50/50 raffle. The “Pink Ladies” served coffee, cocoa and cookies to the crowd braving the evening chill. The lighting was organized by the volunteer Hospital Auxiliary and led by its President Virginia Webber.
