Mr. Hyduke retired from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department as a Lieutenant in 2011. He began his 30-year law enforcement career with the Blythe Police Department in 1981 after completing a two-year Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints mission in London, England. As a member of Blythe Police Department he served as a patrol officer and detective. He also was employed with the Imperial County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff from 1986-1992. A Palo Verde Valley native and a graduate of Palo Verde High School, Mr. Hyduke took courses at Palo Verde College and earned a Bachelors of Science Degree from Park University when it was associated with Palo Verde College. Mr. Hyduke received a Master's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Boston in January 2011. From 2005-2012, Mr. Hyduke was a part-time Criminal Justice instructor at Palo Verde College's main campus. Mr. Hyduke has also been active in the community, serving as Bishopric for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; Merit Badge Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America; and member of Blythe Search and Rescue. "I feel I will be an asset to the college district because of my years in the community, background, and experience," said Mr. Hyduke. "My understanding of the Palo Verde [College] Mission is to provide a quality learning environment for all students; to ensure that all students are treated fairly. Palo Verde College Board of Trustees President Ed Gonzales said," We are happy to have Ned join the board. We have a full board again. We are pleased to have him." Mr. Hyduke will join board members President Ed Gonzales, Vice President Millie Rodriguez, Clerk Jerry Lewis, and Trustees Lincoln Edmond, Ted Arneson, and Dr. George Thomas, and Student Trustee Frannie Gregory. Palo Verde College is located on 200 acres in Blythe, CA, on the California/Arizona border. Since 2001, the college has been located at One College Drive.
