Camarillo Man Arrested for Transportation of Meth

NEEDLES, Calif – On the evening of Sunday, December 4 Deputy Whitcomb from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station contacted Walter Scott (age 50 of Camarillo) during a traffic stop for vehicle code violations on Broadway Street, near G Street. Scott indicated that he was driving from Prescott, Arizona to Needles.

During the contact, the deputy located a plastic container in Scott's pocket, which contained methamphetamine. An additional container was found in a hidden compartment in the bottom of a large methamphetamine pipe inside Scott's car.

Nearly 11 grams of methamphetamine was recovered along with miscellaneous paraphernalia to smoke methamphetamine. Scott was arrested and booked at the Needles jail with bail was set at $125,000.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
