Convicted Felon Arrested for Possession of Firearms after reports of Shots Fired at a Train

NEEDLES, Calif – On Sunday, May 15, at about 5:52, deputies from the Riverside Sheriff’s Colorado River Station received a call from BNSF Railroad about a subject in a Maroon FJ Cruiser shooting at a train. Once in the area, the suspect vehicle was located and the driver was stopped and contacted.

The driver, identified as Richard Clark (age 32 of Valencia), was found to be on supervised probation. Clarke was detained and a search of his vehicle resulted in the recovery of three loaded and stolen firearms. In addition to the firearms, a large amount of illegal narcotics was found.

Clarke was arrested for possession of stolen property, possession of a controlled substance, possession of loaded firearms by a convicted felon and is currently being held on $50,000 bail at the High Desert Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, May 17.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
