Four Arrested in Stolen AZ Car

NEEDLES, Calif – On Saturday, August 20, around 6:40 PM deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department conducted a high-risk traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of O Street and Barrackman Court on a vehicle that was reported stolen from Topock, Arizona.

The vehicle was occupied by four people and was driven by Andrew Muehlhausen. Further investigation revealed a passenger, Robert Carranza, had taken the car without permission from the registered owner in Topock on Thursday, August 18, 2016. A search of the passengers and vehicle revealed Rachel Reyes and Heather Jewell had narcotic paraphernalia.

Robert Carranza (age 22 of Topock, Arizona) was arrested for vehicle theft and booked at the Needles Jail, his bail was set at $50,000. Andrew Muehlhausen (age 27 of Fort Mohave, Arizona) was arrested for possession of stolen property and booked at the Needles jail, his bail was set at $50,000. Both Rachel Reyes (age 36) and Heather Jewell (age 42), both of Needles, were arrested for possession of paraphernalia and were released at the scene.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
