Man Arrested for a San Francisco Murder

NEEDLES, Calif – On Wednesday, September 21, at 5:30 p.m., the Needles Police and San Bernardino County Sheriff Sheriff's Department received information regarding a homicide suspect that was possibly in town.  At 6:23 p.m., a deputy conducted a pedestrian check on the 200 block of J Street, on a man matching the description provided.

The man was identified as John Wayne Ricketts (age 24 of San Francisco). Ricketts was found to have an arrest warrant out of San Francisco California for PC 187, Homicide and was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colorado River Station jail, where he was booked and held on a $1,000,000 bond.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
