Missing Person

September 6, 2016

BLYTHE, Calif – On Thursday, September 1, Blythe Police responded to the 900 block of E. Murphy to investigate a report of a runaway teenager. When Officers arrived they contacted Raul Lopez, the father of 15 year old Sadiga Lopez. Lopez told Police that Sadiga had left through her bedroom window sometime during the night. Sadiga had been threatening to run away for several days to go and live with her sister in Fontana.

Police had difficulty locating the sister in Fontana but eventually obtained an address on Monday, September 5. The Fontana Police Department sent Officers to the sister’s home but Sadiga was not there. Police were able to gather additional information that indicates Sadiga was picked up in Blythe by her biological mother, who lives in an unknown City in Louisiana.

According to Chief Jeff Wade there are no custody orders in place for Sadiga. “Even though this appears to be a custodial issue we are still very concerned for Sadiga’s safety and are trying to confirm she is with her mother in Louisiana.”

Sadiga Lopez is a 15 year old Hispanic female, 5’06” tall, 180 lbs., with Brown hair and Brown eyes. Sadiga has been entered into the Federal Missing Person System.

Anyone with information regarding this case, or any other crime, is urged to contact Blythe Police Department at 922-6111, or they can give their information anonymously by calling Crime Stop at 921-CARE (2273) or by E-Mail.
