Arrest for assault with a deadly weapon after stabbing victim with a screwdriver

BIG RIVER, Calif – On Sunday, April 9 at 7:29 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station Parker Dam area were dispatched to 6900 block of Shaniko Trail in Big River in response to a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, deputies conducted an investigation and determined Stefaniann Keller (age 33 of Earp) and the victim were involved in a verbal altercation. During the argument, Keller stabbed the victim numerous times in the arm and back area with a screwdriver. The victim was treated for minor injuries only.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Colorado River Station Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with bail set at $50,000.
Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
