Arrest for transportation of marijuana for sale

NEEDLES, Calif – On Sunday, July 9 at 4:10 in the morning, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Needles Police conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle for failing to stop at a stop sign at 3rd Street & Crestview in Needles. While speaking with the driver, Kristina Pineda (age 25 of Needles), deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.
Further investigation led to the seizing of two 55 gallon trash bags, containing an estimated 15 pounds of marijuana.
Pineda was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Colorado River Station jail where she was booked for Transportation of Marijuana for Sale and held on $90,000 bail.
