Felon in possession of a firearm & controlled substance while armed

NEEDLES, Calif – On Tuesday, March 21, at about 11:15 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted a probation search of Bradley Underwood (age 40 of Needles) as he sat on the front porch of a home (which was not his own) in the 400 block of D. Street in Needles.

The search of Underwood and his back pack revealed several grams of suspected methamphetamine as well as a handgun and ammunition. Because of Underwood’s prior arrests he is prohibited by law from possessing a firearm and ammunition.

Underwood was placed under arrest and booked at the Colorado River Station Jail with a no bail probation hold.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
