Man Arrested for Multiple Vehicle Burglaries

BERMUDA DUNES, Calif – On Thursday, February 9 at 2:15 p.m., the Riverside County Sheriff and Special Enforcement Team Officers, served a search warrant in the 78500 block of Ave., Bermuda Dunes, related to recent vehicle burglaries. During the search, deputies recovered property taken from at least seven vehicle burglaries in Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, La Quinta, and Bermuda Dunes, that occurred between November 2016 and February 2017.


Officers detained Christian Slocum and arrested him for Felon in Possession of Ammunition, multiple counts of Possession of Stolen Property, and Vehicle Burglary.

The property was valued over $30,000, and included laptop and tablet computers, GPS navigation systems, cellular phones, several sets of golf clubs, jewelry, and high end cameras. Officers are still investigating to determine the owners of the stolen property, and additional charges are pending.

Slocum was booked at the Indio Jail. The La Quinta Police Department will be vigilant in investigating all crimes of this nature.
