Man arrested for felony probation for drug related offenses

JOSHUA TREE, Calif – On Saturday, June 17 at 1220 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Morongo Basin Station were in the 6400 block of Sunset Road in Joshua Tree when they spotted Jason Brown (age 35 of Joshua Tree), a person they knew was on felony probation for previous drug-related offenses and had two active no-bail felony warrants, also for drug-related offenses.
When Brown saw the deputies he quickly made his way inside the Joshua Tree Fellowship Hall. Deputies located Brown inside and arrested him for the outstanding warrants.
After the arrest, deputies learned Brown was in possession of several hypodermic needles and approximately 28 grams of methamphetamine. In addition to the two no-bail warrants, Brown was booked into the Morongo Basin Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale. Bail was set at $50,000.
Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
