Men with disabled vehicle call for help, arrested for burglary

NEEDLES, Calif – On Thursday, May 18 San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies were contacted by two men with a disabled vehicle near the intersection of Broadway Street and D Street in Needles. They had a flatbed trailer loaded with items that appeared to be from a Needles automotive shop.

The owner of the automotive shop was contacted and identified the property as belonging to him. Evidence was later found which connected the men, Jon Godden (age 59) and Robert Westbrook (age 51) both of San Bernardino to the location of the theft. They were both arrested for Burglary, a felony, and transported to the Colorado River Station/ Needles jail with their bail set at $25,000.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
