Mom arrested for Child Abuse after biting her teen

NEEDLES, Calif – On Saturday, March 11 at 5 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station /Needles Police Department were dispatched to a domestic disturbance in the 2000 block of Casa Linda Street in Needles. Deputies contacted a 14-year-old male juvenile who told them he had been in a fight with his mother, Stephanie Firestone (age 41 of Needles).

The investigation revealed that Firestone bit the juvenile on the chest, causing visible injuries. The juvenile sustained serious cuts on his face and a large bite mark on his chest requiring treatment by paramedics while at the scene.

After further investigation Firestone was found to be in possession of paraphernalia and methamphetamine.

Firestone was booked at the Colorado River Station Jail and held on $100,000 bail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
