BLYTHE, Calif It has been over a year now since Francis (Ted) Arneson passed away after a valiant fight with cancer. His was a life of service, having retired from the school district where he served as an administrator and teacher. After, he went on to run the local Cancer Society, was elected to the Palo Verde College Board and served as president of Harmony Kitchens.

The Desert Independent has been informed that the Palo Verde College Performing Arts Center is going to be named after Mr. Arneson. This has been an effort from a group of people for over a year and is now finally coming to pass.

The dedication and unveiling of the plaque will occur on June 2 at 10:00 a.m. at the PVC Theater.

Hopefully, those in the community that knew him, loved him and benefited from his many years of service will be able to be there.
