Another cliff jumper rescued at Aztec Falls

July 3, 2017

LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif – On Sunday, July 1 a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s helicopter was again dispatched to the Aztec Falls area for a hoist rescue of another cliff jumper. The jumper, Christopher Moreno (age 25 of Westminster) sustained non-life threatening injuries when he leaped from a rock faced wall into the water. Due to his injuries he could not hike out of the area on his own.

Sheriff’s Air Rescue 306 responded to the scene and lowered rescue crews approximately 140 feet down to Moreno. Moreno was placed into a stokes rescue litter, hoisted up to the helicopter and flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
