July 29, 2017
TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif – On Thursday, July 27, at about 3:50 p.m., the Twentynine Palms Traffic Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a vehicle code violation in the area of Sullivan Road and Pine Avenue. The driver, Marci Brown (age 34), and passenger, Larry Gray (age 39) both of Twentynine Palms, were contacted during the traffic stop.
During the contact, a search of the vehicle was conducted and deputies recovered a credit card and a California Driver License that did not belong to Brown or Gray. The investigation revealed that the credit card and driver license belonged to two residents of Twentynine Palms. The credit card had been stolen from a victim’s mailbox and the license had been stolen from a victim while at the Tortoise Rock Casino.
