Woman Arrested After Driving up to Marine Base Intoxicated with Two Loaded Firearms

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif – On Friday, January 20, at about 1:30 am, Denise Hallowood (age 35 of San Bernardino) drove up to the 29 Palms Marine Corp Base Main Gate in her vehicle. The Provost Marshall Officer (PMO) at the gate contacted Hallowood and found her to be extremely intoxicated and located two loaded firearms on the seat of the vehicle.

PMO contacted the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Morongo Basin Station to respond. Two deputies responded and contacted Hallowood, confirming she was DUI and possessed two loaded firearms inside her vehicle. They arrested Hallowood for DUI over .08% BAC and having a Loaded Firearm in a vehicle.

She was booked at the Morongo Basin Jail and later released from custody with a citation to appear in court at a later date.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
