Woman arrested on suspicion of arson of Break N Run Billiards

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif – On Sunday, July 23, at about 11:45 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station responded to the Break N Run Billiards in Twentynine Palms after being notified about a suspicious fire inside the business.

Evidence located at the scene confirmed the fire was intentionally started. However, the fire was extinguished before causing any damage to the business. During the investigation, deputies contacted Amie Sword who was subsequently taken into custody on suspicion of arson. Sword was transported to the Morongo Basin Jail where she was booked in lieu of $250,000 bail.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Morongo Basin Station at (760) 366-4175.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
