Assault with a deadly weapon charged after biting victim

NEEDLES, Calif – On Monday, July 09 at 10:50 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department / Needles Police Department responded to the 900 block of Coronado Street after being contacted about a fight in progress.

During the investigation it was revealed that Jennifer Patricia Brown (age 42 of Needles) attempted to strike the victim with a hammer and eventually bit the victim on her arm and leg. Two hammers were found at the scene and Brown was witnessed on security video attempting to strike the victim with each of the hammers.

Brown was arrested and booked into the Needles Jail for Assault with a deadly weapon and is currently being held on a $50,000 bail.
