Good detective work leads to recovery of stolen property from a July 2017 burglary

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif – In July of 2017, a residential burglary occurred in the 6400 block of Fortynine Palms, in Twentynine Palms. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department - Morongo Basin Station, investigated the burglary. Detectives discovered Randy Bryant (age 22 of Twentynine Palms) pawned the victim's property at multiple pawn shops, in Nevada and Arizona.

This last Friday, January 19 at 11:30 a.m., detectives served a search warrant in the 73800 block of Sun Valley Drive, in Twentynine Palms. Bryant was located at the residence, in possession of additional stolen property. Detectives recovered over $2000 of the victim's property. Bryant was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for possession of stolen property and a parole violation.

He is currently being held without bail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
