Traffic stop leads to the arrest of three for active warrants and other felonies

NEEDLES, Calif –  On Sunday, February 18 at 3:51 p.m., a deputy from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station conducted a traffic stop on Needles Highway at Race Street, in Needles. In the deputy’s contact with the occupants of the vehicle and subsequent on-scene investigation the following information was uncovered:

Jacob Stoddard (age 33 of Fort Mohave, Arizona) was found to have a $175,000 felony warrant for bringing drugs into a correctional facility. Rhiannon Sullivan (age 22 of Bullhead City, Arizona) was found to be in possession of a controlled substance and brass knuckles. The driver of the vehicle, Edward Ermocida (age 38 of Fort Mohave, Arizona), was found to be a felon and in possession of a loaded firearm.

All three were arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Ermocida is being held on $50,000 pending a court hearing. Stoddard is being held on $250,000 bond pending a court hearing. Sullivan is being held on $25,000 bond pending a court hearing.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is urged to contact the Needles Sheriff’s Station at (760) 326-9200.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
