Man found sleeping in car arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle

BIG RIVER, Calif – On Wednesday, February 27 at 8:44 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station responded to the 6700 Block of Rio Vista Drive in Big River to assist Fire Department personnel with and unconscious man sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle.

Deputies on scene learned the vehicle had been reported stolen from Parker, Arizona. The man, later identified as Arin Real (age 31 a transient), as he did not require any medical attention, was taken into custody at the scene.

A record check on Real found that he had an active warrant for a probation violation from Ventura County. Real was booked at the Colorado River Station Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle and the warrant. He is being held on $50,000 bail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
