Search warrant results in two arrests

NEEDLES, Calif – On Wednesday, January 30 at 1:15 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station and Needles Police served a search warrant at a residence in the 1200 block of Cherry Drive in Needles. The search warrant was part of an on-going theft investigation. Robert Heliker (age 49) and Kristina Hittle (age 37) both of Needles, were contacted during the warrant service.

Heliker and was found to be in possession of ammunition. Heliker has previous felony convictions and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition and was arrested. Hittle was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine and was also arrested.

Hittle was booked into the Colorado River jail and later released on a citation. Heliker was also booked into the Colorado River jail and is being held on $35,000 bail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
