BLYTHE, Calif – On Friday, January 27 at 11:33 Blythe Police responded to the Desert Breeze Apartments on North Palm after hearing about a disturbance. On arrival, they spoke to a 34 year old female who told the officers that her boyfriend had hit her last night injuring her face.

Police spoke with her boyfriend, Kentron Dixon (age 28), who later admitted to hitting the woman. Additionally, a records check revealed that the woman had filed a Criminal Protective Order; which restricted Dixon from contacting her or being within 100 yards of her and that Dixon had allegedly threatened to kill the female.

Dixon was arrested and transported to the Police Department for further investigation. He was booked into the Blythe Jail for domestic violence, violation of a protective order and criminal threats.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Anyone with information about this or any criminal activity is urged to contact the Blythe Police Department at (760) 922-6111. Information can be given anonymously by calling (760) 921-CARE.
