Out of Town Car Ditched in River By Robert Winkler February 12, 2012 BLYTHE, Calif – On Thursday, February 9, at 6:22 in the morning Blythe Police responded to Quechan Park near the boat ramp regarding a vehicle in the water. When they arrived contact was made with the reporting party who told police that he and other workers found the vehicle submerged in the water near the boat ramp. They did not see anyone near the vehicle and called the police department. Brother’s Towing responded and pulled the vehicle out of the water.
The interior of the vehicle was checked and no one was found. A check of the license plate revealed that the vehicle was a 2010 Volk Wagon registered to Katherince Dumas of Cathedral City. Blythe dispatcher called Cathedral City Police and requested they contact Dumas who did not know her vehicle had been stolen. No suspect has been identified.
