Police Arrive to Screaming Inside House By Robert Winkler January 30, 2012
The male told them that it was his girlfriend screaming and that his sister was inside trying to calm her down. The officers walked into the residence and saw 22 year old Marcela Anzures being held down by another female. The officers were able to calm everyone down and obtained a statement from the male victim. The officers were told that Anzures got home and appeared to be intoxicated. She got mad because her boyfriend had friends over and began to yell at him and his friends. As the friends left the residence Anzures threatened to fight them. Anzures bit and scratched her boyfriend’s arm as he held her back to stop her from fighting. Anzures was arrested and later booked into the Blythe Jail for domestic violence. Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Anyone with information about this or any criminal activity is urged to contact the Blythe Police Department at (760) 922-6111. Information can be given anonymously by calling (760) 921-CARE.
