Rash of Vehicle Vandalism By Robert Winkler January 18, 2012 BLYTHE, Calif – From January 6 through 16, Blythe Police have investigated nine vandalisms to vehicles throughout the city of Blythe. The vandalisms consisted of slashing tires and breaking car windows. On a few cases property was taken from the vehicles. The first reported vandalism was in the 100 block of S. Lovekin Blvd. and the last one was in the 600 block of W. Rice. The estimated damage to the vehicles is at about $5000. Although no suspects have been identified at this time, one suspect was seen leaving the area of the 600 block vandalism. He was described as a black male with a small afro wearing black clothing. Anyone with information about this or any criminal activity is urged to contact the Blythe Police Department at (760) 922-6111. Information can be given anonymously by calling (760) 921-CARE.
