Stabbing at Mesa Verde Valero August 4, 2012 MESA VERDE, Calif – About 10:55 P.M., Sheriff's units responded to the Valero Gas Station located at 13015 Mesa Drive in the unincorporated area known as Mesa Verde, regarding a possible stabbing. Deputies arrived and located the wounded victim lying on the ground in the parking lot. A companion of the victim named Jerry Michael Harvey Jr. was also on scene standing a few feet away. Based on initial statements, it was determined that Harvey was the primary suspect in the stabbing. The victim was airlifted to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment and is currently in stable condition. Harvey was booked into the Blythe Jail for assault with a deadly weapon. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the Colorado River Station at 760-921-7900.
Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
