Stolen Checks

BLYTHE, Calif – Between December 16, 2011 and February 2, 2012 Blythe Police investigated three reports of checks stolen. April Diaz Reyes (age 28) of Blythe was named as a possible suspect.

On February 3, 2012 at 12:27 P.M. a Blythe Police Officer saw Reyes walking in the 300 block of N. Lovekin Blvd. Contact was made with Reyes knowing that she was on active probation. During a search stolen property from the prior cases was found.

Reyes was transported to the Blythe Police for further investigation. After an interview Reyes was booked into the Blythe jail for 3 counts of I.D. theft, 3 counts of forgery, 2 counts of possession of stolen property, and 2 counts of forgery; possession with intent to defraud.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
