Arrest for Transportation of Marijuana

NEEDLES, Calif – In the early morning hours of Sunday, October 30 deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station in Needles contacted Tom Ngo (age 27 of Los Angeles) during a traffic stop at Front Street and I Street. When contacted, deputies could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from Ngo's vehicle.

Ngo traveled from Los Angeles to deliver a large amount of marijuana and marijuana products to a local marijuana retailer. Ngo would not disclose the name of the retailer nor did he have an invoice for the delivery or purchase of the marijuana. A search of the rental vehicle revealed nearly two pounds of packaged marijuana, several pieces of marijuana consumables, along with two cell phones and over $1500 in cash.

Ngo was booked at the Needles jail with his bail set at $50,000.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
