Felon Arrested at Carl’s Jr. for Possession of a Gun

NEEDLES, Calif – On September 1, at about 8:00 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff and Needles City Police responded to the Carl’s Jr. restaurant located at 2601 Needles Hwy after a report of a man with a gun. The caller said a white man with tattoos on his face and head, had a semi-automatic handgun in his waistband while sitting inside the restaurant.

Sheriff's Deputies arrived and quickly detained the subject. A loaded semi-automatic handgun was located in the man’s waistband. The man was identified as Joseph Waller (age 35 of Arizona), a convicted felon. A second loaded handgun was located near Waller. The handgun was stolen out of Kingman, Arizona.

Waller was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Needles Jail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
