Possession of Methamphetamine for Sale

BLYTHE, Calif – On Wednesday, November 02, about 8:30 a.m., the Blythe Narcotic Enforcement Team (BNET) served a narcotics-related search warrant in the 600 block of W. California Street with the assistance of the Blythe Police Department and members of the Colorado River Station.

A large quantity of suspected methamphetamine and items indicative of drug sales were found at the residence. Both Jesus Figueroa (age 29), and Alfredo Lopez (age 25), of Blythe, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales. Figueroa was also charged with possession of marijuana for sales, maintaining a place where drugs were being sold, and illegal drug sales within close proximity of a school. Another man who was present, identified as John Robertson, (age 43) of Blythe, was arrested after a computer check revealed he had an active local felony warrant for spousal abuse. All three subjects were booked into the Riverside County Jail in Blythe.

BNET is a multi-agency narcotic task force participated in by law enforcement agencies in the Blythe-Palo Verde Valley area. BNET's primary mission is to disrupt narcotic sales and diminish the availability of those drugs, thereby increasing public safety. Citizens are encouraged to report drug activity or information that could lead into the arrest of subjects involved with any criminal activity.
