Search Warrants by Narcotics Team Results in Several Arrests

BLYTHE, Calif Ė On Thursday, May 19, the Blythe Narcotic Enforcement Team (BNET) served a narcotic-related search warrant on Kalani Porter (age 35). At about 11:17 a.m., Porter was stopped in a vehicle in the 200 block of Acacia St. with his passenger, William Parrish (age 31). The search revealed suspected methamphetamine, items indicative of drug sales and a motel room key.

BNET determined what motel the key belonged to and secured that location until another search warrant was obtained.

The original search warrant included the search of Porterís residence in the 2200 block of McKinley and an additional subject, identified as Stephen Seirsdale (age 25). Seirsdale was stopped in a vehicle leaving Porterís residence before the warrant was served. Raquel Leivas-Clark (age 48), who was also in the vehicle, was arrested for one felony warrant and two misdemeanor warrants out of Riverside County. Upon her arrest, a search of Leivas-Clarkís personal belongings revealed suspected heroin, suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

The search warrant at Porterís residence was served and revealed more suspected methamphetamine and items indicative of drug sales.

The search warrant at the motel was served about 2:45 p.m. Items belonging to Porter and Leivas-Clark were found inside the room, along with suspected heroin, drug paraphernalia and items indicative of drug sales.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Kalani Porter was charged with conspiracy, possession of methamphetamine for sales, transportation of methamphetamine for sales, possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a house for drug sales. Stephen Seirsdale was charged with conspiracy and possession of methamphetamine for sales. William Parrish was charged with conspiracy, possession of methamphetamine for sales and transportation of methamphetamine for sales. Raquel Leivas-Clark was charged with conspiracy, possession of heroin, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The total weight of suspected methamphetamine found during the investigation was about one ounce. All four subjects were booked into the Riverside County Jail in Blythe.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

BNET is a multi-agency narcotic task force participated in by law enforcement agencies in the Blythe, Palo Verde Valley area. BNET's primary mission is to disrupt narcotic sales and diminish the availability of those drugs, thereby increasing public safety.
