Sign Up for Housing Rights and Responsibilities Workshops

ONTARIO, Calif Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board (IFHMB) announces that they will be holding a series of Housing Rights and Responsibilities Workshops in the month of October. These workshops are free to the public and will be held throughout San Bernardino, Riverside, and Imperial Counties.

Housing Rights and Responsibilities Workshops are opportunities for tenants and landlords to learn more about their rights and responsibilities regarding evictions, repairs, security deposits, and state and federal housing discrimination laws. These workshops are offered to educate housing providers, tenants, homeowners, municipal officials and financial lending institutions on the key aspects of fair housing laws.

Each year in California over 19,000 complaints of housing law violations are filed with the state. These complaints are often based on discrimination due to race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, source of income, or disabilities.

Inland Fair Housing and Mediation Board (IFHMB) is a non-profit, public benefit corporation that has served San Bernardino County and parts of Riverside and Imperial Counties in Southern California since 1980. Funded by numerous grants and awards, IFHMB serves as an intermediary to assist individuals in resolving issues related to housing discrimination, homeownership sustainability, rental complaints, and disputes in court through the provision of resource recommendations, education, mediation, and enforcement activities.
