Two Career Criminals Arrested after Burglary

29 PALMS, Calif – On Monday, August 29, at approximately 11:09 PM, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Morongo Basin Station responded to the 5000 block of Adobe Road for a burglary investigation. Deputies found that suspects forced entry to the Golden Barber. The owner was contacted and responded to the business. The owner was able to show deputies video of the suspects.

Nothing appeared to be missing at that time and the owner left for a short time. When he returned he noticed several electronic items were missing.

The investigation led to 4561 Adobe Road where deputies contacted David Bangs (age 23 of 29 Palms) and Jon Roy (age 39 of 29 Palms). Bangs is on CDC Parole for possession of stolen property. Both Bangs and Roy are classified as Career Criminals because of lengthy criminal history. Evidence and stolen property were located and the two suspects were arrested for violation of Penal Code 459, Commercial Burglary and booked into the Morongo Jail. Bangs is being held without bail and Roy is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
