Two Men Shot by Property Owner after Entering His Home

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif – On Tuesday, October 11, at approximately 12:08 a.m., Sheriff Dispatch received a call of a shooting in the 72000 block of Indian Trail. Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Morongo Basin Station responded to the scene and located Robert Ash Jr (age 29 of Twentynine Palms) and Norman Nelson (age 54 of Twentynine Palms) both suffering from multiple gun-shot wounds.

Through the investigation, it was discovered Ash and Nelson entered a secured property where they were confronted by the property owner, Berry Holley (age 60). A shooting occurred during which Ash and Nelson both sustained multiple gun-shot wounds. Both Ash and Nelson were transported to Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The investigation will be submitted to the District Attorney’s Office at the conclusion of the investigation.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
