Man arrested for lewd acts with a child

NEEDLES, Calif – On Sunday, September 9 at about 3:57 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department were dispatched to the 1200 block of Cherry Dr., in Needles regarding allegations of a thirteen-year-old female juvenile who was sexually molested by Anthony Narro.

A San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputy initiated the investigation and interviewed the victim. During the investigation, it was disclosed that Anthony Narro (age 41 of Needles) was molesting the victim for the past eight years. Upon completion of the interview with Narro, he was subsequently arrested for lewd acts with a minor under 14 and oral copulation. Narro was booked into the West Valley Detention Center where he is being held pending a court hearing with a $250,000 bond.

Detectives believe there may be additional victims who were assaulted by Anthony Narro. The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with additional information regarding this investigation is urged to contact the Needles Sheriff’s Station at (760) 326-9200.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
