April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month
March 21, 2019
BLYTHE, Calif – Every day, at least nine Americans die and 100 are injured in distracted driving crashes. Cell phones, dashboard touch screens, voice commands and other in-vehicle technologies pose a threat to our safety. The consequences of those distractions are not worth the convenience they offer. Ignore the distractions and #justdrive to keep us all safer on the roads.
April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month. The Blythe Police Department and other agencies across the nation are joining forces to battle this problem. In a united effort to recognize the dangers of and eliminate preventable deaths from distracted driving
During the month of April, the Blythe Police Department will be out on the streets in full force, enforcing the zero-tolerance education and enforcement efforts aimed at distracted drivers. Officers will be enforcing hand-held cell phone and texting laws and other vehicle code violations.
Please join the Blythe Police Department to help save lives. Do not become a statistic by driving while distracted.
