Arrest for stealing golf cart

BLACK MEADOW LANDING, Calif – On Wednesday, July 31 at about 6:00 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff’s deputies were called regarding a suspicious person at the Black Meadow Landing Resort. A man later determined to be Riley Lewis (age 29, a transient) was seen entering the victim's motor home and taking clothing from the RV that belonged to the victim.

Lewis then used a screwdriver to steal a golf cart.

He was contacted by deputies while in possession of the stolen golf cart.

Lewis was placed under arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Colorado River Station Jail with bail set at $50,000.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
