Felon in possession of 3 pistols fires shots into neighboring homes

NEEDLES, Calif – On Friday, April 12 at 9:09 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Sheriff’s station / Needles Police were dispatched to the 1200 block of Desert Drive in Needles for multiple reports of gun shots. When deputies arrived on scene, they found Larry Esquibel (age 51 of Needles) armed with three pistols.

The continuing investigation showed Esquibel had fired multiple shots into his neighbor’s house and other houses on the street.

Esquibel was arrested and booked for attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm and discharging a firearm into an inhabited dwelling. He is being held on $1,000,000 bail.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
