Man arrested after assaulting two women

BLYTHE, Calif On Wednesday, October 9 at about 6:51 a.m. Blythe Police Dispatch received a 911 call regarding a male assaulting a female with a gun on Lido Lane. The female reported she was bleeding from the head. Officers from the Blythe Police Department arrived and contacted two victims who had sustained injuries to the head.

During the investigation Officers learned that, 25-year-old Blythe resident, Michael Salazar, who was armed with a firearm, entered the residence and assaulted the two occupants with the handle of the firearm, causing head trauma. However, when Officers arrived, Salazar had fled the area.

The two victims were later taken to Palo Verde Hospital where their injuries were tended to by hospital staff.

At approximately 8:28 a.m. Officers located Salazar in the 300 Block of N. Carlton. Salazar was taken into custody without incident and booked into the Blythe Jail on several felony charges.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
