Man rides a stolen Harley to shoplift at Dollar General

NEEDLES, Calif – On Wednesday, July 31 at about 9:30 in the evening, Erick Jimenez (age 35 of Needles) went into the Dollar General Store at 1500 Hospitality Lane, two different times and was seen stealing merchandise by staff each time. Deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station were called after the second theft was observed and they contacted Jimenez in the store.

He was detained and found in possession of stolen merchandise. As deputies were conducting their investigation, they also discovered the Harley Davidson motorcycle Jimenez rode to the store was reported stolen out of Colton, California.

Jimenez was placed under arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle and booked into the Colorado River Station Jail with his bail set at $50,000.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
