Man wanted for armed robbery here is also wanted for murder in other states

NEEDLES, Calif – On Thursday, January 24 at 12:25 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to Motel 6 located in the 1400 block of J Street in Needles after getting a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred. Deputies arrived on scene and determined the female victim was struck on the head and her purse was stolen. The victim believed the weapon used to strike her was a handgun. The suspect fled in a vehicle towards the I-40.

Through continuous investigation, the suspect was identified as Joseph Martinez-Berryhill (age 34 of Phoenix, Arizona). On January 28 Martinez-Berryhill was arrested in Henderson, Nevada for an additional robbery. Martinez-Berryhill was also a suspect in an armed robbery in Kingman, Arizona that occurred hours before the robbery in Needles.

After Joseph Martinez-Berryhill was arrested in Henderson, Nevada, it was discovered he had an active warrant for a murder in Phoenix, Arizona. He was then interviewed by detectives from the Colorado River Station/ Needles Police Department and the Kingman Police Department for armed robbery. Martinez-Berryhill remains in custody in Clark County, Nevada.
