Mother & daughter killed in their Twentynine Palms home

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif – On Sunday, June 9 at 10:23 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station and firefighters from the San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a residential fire in the 75600 block of Valle Vista Road in Twentynine Palms. Emergency fire personnel extinguished the fire and located two victims deceased inside the home.

They were Linda Sayer (age 67) and Sheila Sayer (age 48) both of Twentynine Palms.

Sheriff’s Homicide Detectives and Detectives from Bomb and Arson responded to the location to conduct the investigation. The autopsy confirmed the manner of death was homicide. However, investigators are not releasing details on how they were killed.

Persons charged with a crime are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
