Arrest for destruction of railroad property

NEEDLES, Calif – On Monday April 27, 2020 at 8:00 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station were dispatched to the area of East Broadway and Smith Road an attempted break in to a BNSF maintenance yard. When responding deputies arrived, an unknown man was observed running from the location.

After a brief foot pursuit, Patrick Delozier (26 of Mojave) was located in nearby vegetation and taken into custody. Delozier was found to be in possession of multiple cutting tools, grinding wheel and other burglary items. Delozier was found to have an active felony, and a no bail warrant out of Kern County for possession of stolen property.

Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Police Department also responded and issued Delozier a citation for P.C. 594(a)(3) Vandalism and destruction of BNSF property.

Delozier was arrested and transported to the Needles jail where he was booked for his felony warrant and P.C. 148(a)(1), Obstructing/Resisting a Peace Officer, and is currently pending extradition to Kern county.
