Possession of a stolen vehicle

TWENTYNINE PALMS, Calif – On Tuesday, February 11 at 1:28 PM, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department - Morongo Basin Station received information about a stolen vehicle that was located at a residence in the 73000 block of Crestview Drive in Twentynine Palms.

When deputies arrived at the location, they found a stolen 2005 GMC pickup truck in the driveway.

Due to the circumstances of the investigation, detectives and members of the San Bernardino County Auto Theft Task Force (SANCAT) responded to the scene and served a search warrant.

During the investigation, deputies identified one of the occupants of the home, Jeffrey Brown (age 40 of Twentynine Palms), as the suspect in possession of the stolen vehicle. Brown was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for a violation of PC 496D(A) Possession of Stolen Property/Stolen Vehicle.
