A loaded firearm found during a traffic stop

NEEDLES, Calif – On Sunday, May 12 at 11:11 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff - Colorado River Station/ Needles Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 300 block of D Street in Needles. One of the passengers in the vehicle was identified as Enrique Lovato (age 35 a transient of Needles).
Lovato had a no bail warrant for his arrest for violation of Community Supervised Release. During the investigation, deputies located a loaded .22 Caliber semi-automatic pistol in his possession as well as a substantial amount of suspected methamphetamine.
Lovato was interviewed and subsequently arrested. Lovato was booked into the Needles jail on a no bail warrant and additional charges.
